A Prayer

Dear God and Father,

We come before you amazed at your power and glory. You created the Heavens and the Earth, the day and the night. And Father, you created this church... this Family.

Father we thank you for these gifts. We realize that we have done nothing to deserve them, but because You love us, You provide for us the things we need.

As we prepare to hear your word, please open our hearts and minds so that we will be able to understand and put into practice the lesson you would have us to learn.

Father, thank you for the time we have to come together and be with those of our Family who are unable to be with us. We thank you for our Family, the church, and our Savior, Christ Jesus. For it is through Him that all things are possible, and it is in His name that we pray.

Amen.

Let me tell you a Story

For thousands of years, the prophets of God told of a savior.

A child was born and grew to be a man. When he was baptized a voice from heaven (a.k.a. - God) announced, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

For three years, this man taught with an authority like no other. He performed many miracles.

For our sins, he was nailed to a cross and died. Three days later he was raised from the dead.

Preaching the 1st century gospel in the 21st century

The issues people struggle with haven't changed. We still are plagued by guilt, anger, loneliness, hatred and so on. The Bible calls this sin. And the only answer to the problems of our hearts is Jesus. That's why we preach Jesus.

Becoming a Christian community

Christianity requires community. It's all about relationships. In the church we learn how, we practice the Christian virtues of love and humility, of joy and service. In the church we become the people of God.

A safe place to investigate the claims of Christ

A friendly, welcoming group of people
You will not be embarrassed or singled out in any way
Questions are encouraged, answers are sought
Everyone is treated with respect

You are invited to worship, learn, grow with us.

No one has arrived at perfection in this congregation. We are all on a journey together. Our joy would be to support and encourage you as we walk the path of faith in Christ Jesus. We'll begin where you are, and help you from there. Come see what a difference our commitment to New Testament truth makes in a church.

About the church of Christ

An Introduction to the church of Christ

World wide there are some 17000 congregations of the church of Christ with close to 2 million members. There are small churches with just a few members and large ones with thousands. There are congregations in every state and in 109 other countries.

What makes us unique

Members of the churches of Christ are a people of restoration spirit. That means we want to restore in our day the ideal of the New Testament church. In the latter part of the 1800's men of different denominations, studying independently of one another, began to ask: "Why not take the Bible alone and once more "continue steadfastly in the apostles teaching..."? They pleaded with everyone to throw off denominationalism, to get rid of human creeds, and to only teach and follow the Bible. From that start came the church of Christ in the United States.

Mission Work

Chile, Venezuela, Brazil, Nigeria, Cameroon, Honduras are all places we are actively sharing the gospel of Jesus. And we are always looking at new opportunities to take the gospel into all the world
